Welcome to the Australian Studies Resources page at the University of Sydney Library's Scholarly Electronic Text and Image Service (SETIS).
SETIS is a creator of digital editions of Australian literary and historical texts and hosts a number of other Australian Studies Resources.
The project depends upon external funding sources, either through grants or private sponsorship of individual works.

Virtual Remote Control (VRC) is built on a risk management approach to digital preservation. VRC presents a methodology and compilation of tools for monitoring and identifying potential risks of loss of Web-based information.
Virtual: the approach develops models to represent essential features of selected Web sites that enable ongoing monitoring of these sites over time to identify, respond to, and mitigate potential risks to their integrity and longevity.

GNU EPrints is free software which creates online archives. The default configuration is a repository of the research output of an academic institution. An EPrint archive can be adapted for many more purposes. It has been developed at the University of Southampton in relation to a variety of projects.

The Electronic Collection of the National Library of Canada (NLC) consists of Canadian books and periodicals published online. It includes more than 11,451 titles and more 45,935 serial issues published by both the commercial publishing sector and the government publishing sector. The archived publications exist in various formats, including HTML, PDF, ASCII, LIT and others, i.e., the format in which they were produced.

An eprint is an electronic copy of an academic paper. Eprints can be either preprints (a working paper or the version of a paper submitted for peer review) or postprints (the final draft of a paper, as accepted for publication following peer review)
QUT ePrints is an institutional repository of eprints which showcases some of the research output of QUT staff and postgraduate students.
The papers deposited in QUT ePrints are freely available via this website. This open access ensures the widest possible dissemination and impact for our work and contributes to the growing body of research literature that is now freely available online.

PANDORA, Australia's Web Archive, is a growing collection of Australian online publications, established initially by the National Library of Australia in 1996, and now built in collaboration with nine other Australian libraries and cultural collecting organisations.
The name, PANDORA, is an acronym that encapsulates our mission: Preserving and Accessing Networked Documentary Resources of Australia.

The National Library of Australia's Preserving Access to Digital Information (PADI) initiative aims to provide mechanisms that will help to ensure that information in digital form is managed with appropriate consideration for preservation and future access.
Its objectives are:
1. to facilitate the development of strategies and guidelines for the preservation of access to digital information;
