HOWLfest is a festival of women's creativity happening in the lovely coastal city of Newcastle, NSW 28 Jan - 1 Feb
2004
HOWLfest aims to promote women who perform original work,
independent artists, women who have not had the opportunity to perform or exhibit their work before, as well as established artists in all forms of creative expression - music, film, art, theatre, spoken word etc.
Expressions of interest for HOWLfest 2004 are due by 1st
August 2003.&
Areas of interest
include:
FILM,
VIDEO
MUSIC - all genres welcome: Punk, Pop, Hip Hop, Rock, Funk,
Country, Electronica, Instrumental, Folk, Soul, Blues Rap, Percussion whatever... We cannot stress enough that we want women who perform original work - i.e. NO covers.
SPOKEN WORD:
THEATRE/PERFORMANCE ART:
VISUAL ARTS:
WORKSHOPS: Music, art, dance, theatre, computer, fun,
activist, feminist, enviro, queer.....

We're also looking for women keen to volunteer leading up to and during the festival - you don't have to have any experience just enthusiasm - if you're interested get
