Oz Quest Melbourne Information night
Thursday 28 August 2003
6.30-8pm
Be introduced to 'Oz Quest: Young Australian Adventures.'
With the help of famous Himalayan mountaineer, Tim Macartney-Snape, and Oz
Quest patron, Natasha Stott Despoja, be introduced to a fantastic program
for young people Australia-wide.
Oz Quest is a non-profit organisation that combines community work with
adventure travel in remote areas of countries including Nepal, Vietnam and
Borneo. Participants make a real difference to the communities we visit by
working with local aid organisations to undertake practical service-based
projects in schools and villages. Participants work and live the local
culture, and as a result return to Australia with a new sense of the world
and their place in it. The other component of every expedition is an
adventure phase, which allows participants to explore remote and unique
environments in the host country.
There are limited places available for the information night. Call (03) 8412
9393 or email ozquest@infoxchange.net.au with your name, number of people
attending and a contact number.
This is a free event. Staff and past participants will be available on the
night the answer questions and accept expedition applications.
PS. If you are not in Melbourne or are unable to attend the event, email
ozquest@infoxchange.net.au or call (03) 8412 9393 and we will send some
information to you ASAP about our program and upcoming expeditions.
Regards,
