ABC calling for digital video art for ABC digital channel

ABC New Media and Digital services is looking to acquire video art under five minutes in duration for screening on our new digital channel ABC2 and broadband website.

ABC2 recognises video art as a dynamic art form and Australia as a leader in new media arts. Our role as a national broadcaster enables us to showcase this to a diverse audience. License fees will be offered for selected works.

ABC2 features a broad range of new and time-shifted ABC programming - children's, regional, arts, public policy, social commentary, international news, music and information. It's a complementary service offering another chance to see programs from the main channel. New content for ABC2 and the ABC Broadband Channel is mostly short, interstitial content such as animations, music videos and kids programs.

ABC2 airs on channel 21 on free-to-air, on channel 126 on Foxtel and Austar, channel 22 on TransACT in Canberra, and channel 20 on Neighborhood Cable in Victoria.
