You read it right - the Dendy Cinema is hosting the Brisbane premiere of
Trash Videos first production, our fake 60s exploitation mini-epic
LESBO-A-GO-GO! Tickets are now on sale at Trash, but please be quick - the
numbers are limited to 250 and are selling FAST! Its premiere at the
Melbourne Underground Film Festival went down a treat, and us Lesbo crew in
attendance had an absolute ball (full story in few days along with the next
FOR SALE catalogue), despite the Ken Park and David Irving controversies
(but more on those later!). Lesbo had the dubious honour of being the
CHEAPEST feature EVER to screen at MUFF, but like I told the 200-odd people
at the George Cinema in St Kilda, the film really does look like a thousand
bucks! Hope to see as many of you at the Dendy for the black carpet affair
with the entire cast and crew - you only get one Hollywood-style debut each
lifetime, and I PROMISE you a memorable evening! Cheers, Andrew (Trash

TRASH INTRODUCES "UNDEAD": 9.15pm Friday 1st August at Hoyts Regent. The
locally-made horror film from the producing/writing and directing team Peter
and Michael Spierig has sold out at this years BIFF. According to Gary
Ellis, Executive Manager Festivals and Events, Undead is the fastest sellout
of any film in the Brisbane International Film Festivals 12 year history.
UNDEAD starts its Dendy season 4th September!

TRASH in "THE HORROR, THE HORROR..." 6.10pm Monday 4th August at the State
Library. Julie Rigg (ABC National) will lead a lively panel discussion with
the Spierig Brothers (Undead), Andrew Leavold (Trash Video) and Scott Knight
(Bond University) - exploring the appeal of horror films, why they have such
a disreputable reputation among the genres and some of the political
messages horror films can carry.

TRASH HOSTS the BIFF FAST FILM COMPETITION! 6.30pm Sunday 10th August at
Little Stanley St, South Bank: Yours truly gets to MC the short film
competition, introducing all 13 films and hosting the awards afterwards.

the tawdry story of a young innocent girls unwitting descent into drug
addiction, delirium, depravity and damnation, filmed in Bris-Vegas in seedy
b&w (except for a saturated colour hallucination sequence) and featuring a
gloriously fake 60s soundtrack from over ten Australian bands including The
Hekawis, The Gammarays and The Thurston Howlers!

The REAL Andy Kaufman: A Trash Video Tribute Forget Jim Carreys outrageous
mugging in Man On The Moon - this is the real deal, our own compilation of
the best material from late, great Andy culled from his ultra-rare comedy
specials, TV appearances, wrestling shows and more. Elvis, Foreign Man,
Letterman, you name it. An strange and acquired taste, we have found, but we
know youre going to dig it!

Bill Hicks: Sane Man (1989) The earliest Bill Hicks footage weve shown so
far, a brilliant, caustic live performance at "The Laff Stop", Austin Texas
14/7/89. If youve never seen or heard the late Hicks before, this is the
stuff: scathing, blasphemous, scatological, prophetic and hysterically
funny!

Ninja Bachelor Party (1980s) Almost ten years in the making, Hicks and co
started their first movie in their early 20s, an insanely funny half hour
kung fu slapstick zen-logic abomination, with Bill as "the Master". Quite
possibly the most bizarre home movie of all time!!!
