The Locals - featuring Cliff Flax and Luke Escombe, launch themselves, live at Ruby Rabbit

After a long run of solo shows singer/songwriter Luke Escombe has joined forces with a collection of like-minded musos and agitators under the banner "The Locals".

The band features the diverse talents of poet/bassist Cliff Flax, drummer/vocalist Tull Kidron and mercurial bluesman Dylan Eynon - all veterans of past musical wars - providing a rich backdrop to Luke's stories of love, perversity and ridicule. Drawing inspiration from a wealth of styles including country blues, folk, funk and spoken word their sound is a slow-sipping ale of laidback grooves, satirical lyrics, humour and spontaneity.

Catch them in their world debut at Ruby Rabbit on Wednesday November 15th supported by the sweet vibrations of Goodjohnson and Jordan Millar.

Doors 8pm. $8 Entry.
