This is Andrez, these days over in Tokyo - I used to run Melbourne's IF? Records, make electronic muzak as Little Nobody, and do hack journalism for papers like Zebra, Beat, 3D World and The Age. Anyway, I've set up a new website where you can check out a back-catalogue of interviews I've done, both new and old, with the likes of Coldcut, Luke Vibert, Andrew Weatherall, Si Begg, Reinhard Voigt, Goldie, Jeff Mills, Claude Young, and Mamoru Oshii (the director of Ghost in the Shell 2)... if you can be bothered!! visit http://andrezbergen.tripod.com

At 5 GBP including postage and handling, this is a deal you can't miss. The EP has been receiving positive reviews - "The first thing you hear when you put in this CD is the stunning vocals, although this band is not just about vocals, as they play some great guitar harmonys. (sic) . . . I really like this band and if you are looking for something that sounds unique and different then check this band out." -- Musicpress.co.uk

With the imminent release of their new single "Duck 'n Cover", Australian electronic producers Statler and Waldorf have teamed up with the talented DarcStorm production team to shoot their new clip. Taking place over two days in a private filming session at Brisbane's iconic Moon Bar at the Empire in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, the clip will be filmed in 16mm film format for national distribution and broadcast. Whilst as yet unreleased, early dub plates of "Duck and Cover" released to select DJ's have been generating a hype that's indicative of the momentum Statler & Waldorf have maintained through extensive gigging and festival performances such as Big Day Out and Queensland Music Festival.

The internet has been ablaze recently with talk of map products from Google and similar plans from Microsoft. These additions are really cool to look at but do not seem to offer real value or things to do in the worlds. As an avid gamer, I was questioning, haven't we seen similar things from games in the past. Last year we saw the release of True Crimes: Streets of L.A. and The Getaway (based in London).

Two years ago, experts predicted that by 2005, 3D games on mobile devices would be everywhere. They were premature - yet recent stirrings suggest the sleeping giant is finally waking. 3D World Magazine interviewed Kurt Uhlir - IGDA Mobile-SIG Chair and Chicago Technologist, Thor Gunnarsson - Ideaworks3D and David MacQueen - Screen Digest to get there thoughts. While the magazine is normally $15 or so on the stands, the IGDA is providing the full text of the article in PDF. If you are looking for a career in graphics, as I am, it is worth the read.

Release Date 1st August 2005 by Deluder Records. According to deluder 'Omniality' is 'the state of combining all things' and his stunning debut is just that: illustrating genres and scenes don't have to be as closely segregated as they often seem. He's a producer who'd love to avoid being pigeonholed, but does he really think it's possible? "People feel the need to categorize music" admits deluder "which I can understand, but sometimes it isn't the most constructive thing you can do for a artist, label, club or scene. I aim to get people saying 'yeah, but deluder makes house, progressive, breaks and chill too, not just trance!', which is true, but realistically most people will probably think of 'Omniality' as a trance album - because it's so damn melodic. I guess that's the one common theme throughout." mp3s and more information are available from http://www.deluder.net
