Journal of Interdisciplinary Music Studies is a biannually published, refereed journal. The journal covers the studies of music sciences, together with the studies of music and sound in the disciplines of humanities, social sciences, cognitive sciences, medical and engineering sciences. Our aim is to establish a wide range of interdisciplinary platform for the scholars studying on music and sound.

The IDEA [Indian Documentary of Electronic Arts] is a very simple creative sharing matrix for e-Creative Practitioners and associated individuals & organizations from all over the world to share their works, visions, aspirations, experiments and communiqués, etc. on a common platform that can be distributed, retrieved and archived for the future. The Biennale of Sydney is Australia's largest and most exciting international visual arts event. The Biennale of Sydney is held in Sydney's leading museums and galleries and is renowned for showcasing the freshest and most innovative contemporary art from Australia and around the world. Since 1973 the Biennale of Sydney exhibitions have presented the work of more than 1200 artists from over sixty countries. Most of these artists were also brought to Sydney by the Biennale, which often facilitated their travel and co-ordinated their professional engagements in a national outreach program to art schools and universities across Australia. The concept 'Zones of Contact' forms the framework and organising principle of the 2006 Biennale of Sydney, which will include a range of artists from around the world practising in all forms of the visual arts. 'Zones of Contact' is about the spaces in which people live in and move between, the spatial dimensions of cities, settlements, territories, the land and home. The work refers to the temporal dimensions of those spaces, the body, everyday life, places in which people encounter one another and other cultures and sense of self and their histories. Founded in 1995, Studio XX is Montreal's foremost women's digital resource centre. Through a variety of creative activities and initiatives, the Studio works with women to demystify digital technologies, to critically examine their social aspects, to facilitate women's access to technology, and to create and exhibit women's new digital art.

Electrofringe is now calling for proposals for this year's festival from artists, media makers, curators, researchers, writers, producers, enthusiasts, etc. Part of the 'This Is Not Art' umbrella of Festivals in Newcastle, NSW, this year Electrofringe will occur from 28th September to 2nd October and will feature artists from all over Australia as well as visiting international artists. A heads up, hands-on, all-in festival of experimental, electronic, digital and new media arts and culture. It is dedicated to unearthing emergent forms, highlighting nascent trends and encouraging participants to explore technology and its creative possibilities. The directors for Electrofringe 2006 are Ben Byrne, Cat Jones and Sumugan Sivanesan. Areas for investigation may include (but are not limited to) hybrid performances, media based practices, web, networked & online collaborations, wireless, wearable and locative technologies, sensor based interactions, software art, custom electronics, experimental interfaces, alternative energies, sound, video, installation and more.
