The General Meeting of the Brisbane Astronomical Society is open to all people interested in astronomy and science in general. The meeting is followed by tea/coffee and biscuits, and if the weather is fine, observing of the night sky downstairs with the clubs telescopes. Phil Evans, a promising young 20-year-old saxophonist from QUT was brutally attacked in his Herston home on Monday 21st July 2003, leaving him without the use of his fingers. As a result it's doubtful he will ever play his saxophone again. His friends from QUT have joined forces with other local Brisbane musicians to create an evening of music to help Phil, both financially and to build morale in his time of need.

LAUNCH: Battle Of The Year BBoy Beats N breaks Annual 2003
On Saturday August 2, the first ever BOTY AUST Compilation CD was launched at HMV Parramatta. DJ Nick Toth threw down the beats for Nervous Breakdown, who performed in the store for the crowd.
