a quarterly PDF digizine being launched in early 2004, UNDERGROWTH will feature an ongoing collection of some of Australia`s cutting edge guerilla ontologists using science fiction as a medium of exploring consciousness and playing mind games with what they find. From sustainable eco-tek communities to shamanistic modes of perception on the street and the youth culture of tomorrow - UNDERGROWTH is the sprouting of a new wave of writers and a new type of psyence fiction as cyberpunk becomes psyberdelic.. TKCB - Its Not a Drug, It's a Light Show
Travelling KaleidoscopiK Candle Bonanza, or Damo as he is known by his friends has being hiding behind the scenes in Brisbane for longer than most of us have being listening. Specializing in light as an artistic medium, Damo started out by doing "cans" and "spots" for some of Brisbane's more rock and punk orientated bands before moving into rave and dance culture. Responsible for many shows at some of Brisbane's earliest "old school" parties, he programmed lights and rigged bank upon bank of strobe and other rave orientated effects at parties such as NASA, Creation, Adrenalin and Black Out at venues such as The Site, B.E.C (Nasa/Adrenalin) and The Roxy.

Combining Electrofringe, Sound Summit, National Young Writers, Radio Active, Student Media and Critical Animals, the event will bring together Australia's key arts, music and new media figures and international guests for 5 days of panels, workshops and live gigs. netdiver.net describes itself as a "new media culture_magazine + international design portal". It showcases "outstanding" talented graphic art, web and flash design artists with a special section for "powagirrrls" from around the world. The site has numerous links and reviews along with news and cool examples of flashware, plus helpful tips and a "thought_archive" for contemplation. a visit to the site will most definitely "feed your eyes" as they quote on the homepage - feed your eyes and hopefully your creativity

"The Red Room Company" is creating a unique audio documentary "Global Odes", to be recorded at The Newcastle Young Writers' Festival (NYWF) in October, 2003. "Global Odes" will explore how issues, based on social and political themes of national and global significance, affects the writing of poets attending the Newcastle Young Writers' Festival.
